Long-considered to be the little brother of Brunello, Rosso di Montalcino is, in fact, a wine of great distinction and depth where the distinguishing fruity black cherry and wild berries unite with light sensations of vanilla and spice.
First courses with meat sauces, grilled dishes, roasts and medium-aged cheeses bring out the best in its deep and balanced flavor.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Ideal with cold cuts and meat sauce pasta. Match also with grilled with and red meat . Fantastic with medium seasoned cheeses and mushrooms.

The grapes were cut and pressed, then the fermentation process takes place. The grape peels and the must fermentation lasts about 20 days. Racked off the wine is stored in containers in tempered rooms, in order to help the malolactic fermentation.
Ageing: up to 9 months, a part in Slavonian oak barrels and a
part in French oak barrique.
Bottle ageing: up to 4 months before selling the wine on the
market.
COLOR: Clean ruby red.
SMELL: Deep floral aroma with hints of spice and mint.
TASTE: Medium to full bodied, with nice acidy and balanced tannins.

“Loghi” Farm is located in the municipality of San Giovanni d'Asso, the land of the famous white truffles from Crete Senesi, a hilly area south of Siena province, typically whitish and ocher with clay soils, next to the course of two small rivers, Asso and Serlate, in a secluded and quiet place.
The company is family-run, has started since the end of the eighties at the hands of the Berni family father
Over the years it has developed continuously, expanding its activities thanks to the entrepreneurial choice made by the son Valentino, who now holds it, who learnt agricultural sciences studying at University and also had already gained experience working directly in the farm.
The farm produces two Orcia DOC red wines, two red IGT and a white IGT, in addition to an excellent extra virgin olive oil, and finally the famous truffles of the Crete Senesi.
The company's cultivation is completely organic, the respect for the nature always brings back good fruits.
